An Important Election
I know you care as deeply as I do about the future of South Carolina — especially our local neighborhoods here in Abbeville, Greenwood and Laurens Counties. That is why, after giving it a great deal of thought and prayer (with the support of my wife and family) I have decided to run for the South Carolina State Senate.
THIS WAS NOT AN EASY DECISION. During the last six years, it has been a great honor for me to serve as Vice Chairman of the Greenwood County Council. Before that, I was a member of the Greenwood City Council, and I’m proud of the many accomplishments we gained for our community.
But I have come to the conclusion that many of the problems we face must be addressed at the State level. For example…
There’s too much waste, inefficiency and corruption in government today. And there’s not enough accountability. Taxes are too high. And yet, the quality of essential public services—like education and economic development—is in decline.
With your help, I will provide a strong new voice for our District. And I will work tirelessly to earn and to keep your trust.
As you know, there are a number of candidates running. Among them, I am the only one with a record of elective public service. I have also served as a Republican Party Committeeman and, as I mentioned, I have served on both City and County Council. From day one, I am ready to fight for our taxpayers, families, businesses and neighbors.
I would be honored to know you are willing to stand with me as we work together to achieve great things for Abbeville, Greenwood and Laurens Counties.
