Dee is married to the former Alecia K. Tate of Spartanburg. They are law partners and the proud parents of three girls, twins - Chloe & Darcy - and Mary Grace. He is the son of Dr. & Mrs. John DeVore Compton, Jr. M.D., and the grandson of Lassie H. Compton and of the late Clyde B. Simmons, Sara E. Simmons, and John D. Compton, Sr.
